PERSON SPECIFICATION: We are currently seeking to recruit Social Care
Workers to work in our Family Based Residential centre in Clondalkin,
Dublin *.
WHAT DOES BALLYOWEN MEADOWS DO?
Ballyowen Meadows is a residential based family assessment centre.
This purpose-built centre provides a unique setting in which the
strengths and difficulties of a family can be assessed in a safe and
secure environment. We believe that it is in the best interest of
children to remain within the primary family unit. This unique
environment combines traditional child protection residential
placements with the awareness of the importance of family in the lives
of children even when family circumstances are the direct cause of
child protection concerns. The model aims to be preventative in its
design enabling service providers to uniquely address child protection
issues within the families while at the same time supporting families
to remain connected with each other.
